Arizona State Sun Devils 2008-2009 Retro Shorts

Head coach Herb Sendek and his Arizona State Sun Devils entered the 2008-2009 ranked #15 in the preseason AP Poll.  A big reason for that was star sophomore James Harden.  Harden's '09 season would end with him winning the Pac 12 Player of the Year Award and being named 1st Team All American. 

ASU finished the regular season 24-9 earning them a #6 seed in the NCAA Tournament where they beat Temple before losing to Syracuse in the round of 32. 

Harden remains the greatest player in school history after entering the NBA and winning the MVP in 2018.
